That obsession with space planning, and functional design turned into a full-fledged career in luxury kitchen design, and now I help designers, remodelers, and homeowners create kitchens that work as beautifully as they look.
At The Cabinet Nerd, I don’t just design kitchens—I solve puzzles, optimize storage, and geek out over every drawer, cabinet, and workflow detail so you don’t have to.
EDUCATION
For years, I worked jobs that paid the bills but didn’t fuel my creativity. Then one day, my sister said, “If you get the chance, you should go to design school.” And that was it—I realized I wasn’t waiting for a chance, I was going to make it happen.
Six months later, I enrolled at Harrington Institute for Interior Design, moved to Chicago,and found my true calling in kitchen space planning and cabinetry design.
Fast forward 20 years, and I’ve designed hundreds of kitchens for luxury homes, worked with top-tier remodelers and designers across the U.S., and trained in high-end appliances and cabinetry like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Monogram, Cafe, Starmark and Bellmont.
I’ve also learned one big thing: A stylish kitchen isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about function. A great kitchen should make life easier, not harder.
