The Spotlight
The Amy
In Seal Beach, California, a collaboration with Amy Rex Designs addressed a perilous cooktop placement. Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, leveraged NKBA Kitchen Planning Guidelines, researching minimum clearances for range tops, guaranteeing safety for young children and providing peace of mind in a beautifully functional kitchen space.
The Kathleen
For The Kathleen project in Greenwich, Connecticut, Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, partnered with a high-end homeowner desiring symmetry and clutter-free countertops. Through innovative appliance garages, precise space planning with ghost lines for mirror symmetry, and meticulous work zones and pathway clearances, a harmonious, functional kitchen was crafted.
The Nancy
For The Nancy kitchen in Keller, TX, Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, collaborated with Kathi Fleck of LoneStar Design Build to remodel a kitchen with fixed utility lines and a challenging ceiling. Solutions included varied cabinet heights with proportional crown molding, rollout shelves in the pantry, and an island designed around the gas line.
The Matt
For The Matt project in Austin, TX, Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, bridged the gap between a dynamic homeowner, his interior design team, and the cabinet maker. The challenge of drafting and communicating precise plans was solved through one-on-one sessions, ensuring accurate placement of storage and selection of accessories.
The Sublette
In Arlington, TX, The Sublette kitchen, in collaboration with Kathi Fleck of LoneStar Design Build, tackled the challenge of a divisive 1970s island in a vast kitchen. Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, harmonized the differing opinions of two medical professionals through meticulous space planning, optimizing the area for cooking, entertainment, and family activities, all while enhancing the stunning backyard view.
The Breanne
In Plano, Texas, The Breanne kitchen remodel involved Jamie, The Cabinet Nerd, reimagining a professional chef's kitchen. By removing awkward angles and a dysfunctional island, Jamie introduced multiple work zones, a walk behind pantry and a dedicated baking station. A dual-purpose family island replaced the traditional dining table, accommodating homework and crafts. High-resolution, 20/20 Design Live renderings facilitated personalized, inclusive final approvals.
